program group
The Sugar Shot to Space (SS2S) program is universal in scope with regard to participant involvement, and as such, the program has team members from around the world. Despite the geographic scattering, a common thread links all members into a tight bond - a fervent interest in rocketry and a keen desire to accomplish something above and beyond the everyday scope of the amateur rocketry hobby. The SS2S team members face not only the great technical and daunting financial challenges, but also the organizational challenges of pooling together the individual skills, knowledge and ideas, and melding these into the final creation of numerous hands and minds - a bona fide amateur rocket capable of touching the unbounded frontier of space.
All SS2S program members are volunteers and the project is non-profit in scope, relying entirely upon member funding, corporate donations and the generosity of private individuals for funding.
