Vehicle
Development
Responsibilities
The Vehicle Development Team is
responsible for development of the rocket vehicle as a whole.
Although the rocket propulsion system comprises the major
portion of the vehicle, other key components such as fins
and nosecone provide the means of effectively traversing
the atmosphere on the way to space. The payload and recovery
system need to be integrated into the vehicle. The team
is also responsible for ensuring rocket stability, safety,
structural integrity, all the while meeting stringent weight
targets of the vehicle as a whole.
